The 9900AEGIS is the smallest in the popular 9900 series UPS from Mitsubishi Electric. Like all other Mitsubishi Electric UPSs, the AEGIS is a three-phase, on-line double-conversion system and features Mitsubishi Electric's world-renowned 3 Level Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) technology for enhanced UPS performance and reliability.  The AEGIS™ series is available in 80, 100, 150, 160, and 225 kVA and is UL924 listed (Standard for Emergency Lighting). One of the outstanding features of the AEGIS is that it boasts a relatively flat efficiency curve indicating that the UPS is highly efficient regardless of the load.  This is significant since loads in various data centers can range anywhere from 25% to nearly 100%.  The AEGIS can be configured both as a single module or in multi-module systems up to 4 units.  It is also an ideal option for edge data centers.

The 9900AEGIS Series UPS creates more white space by minimizing the gray space it occupies. It can handle the same load in a significantly smaller footprint than competitive models, meaning more space can be allocated to revenue generation.  The 9900AEGIS also has a higher power density than comparable UPSs, maximizing power output while minimizing gray space. How an IGBT power device is controlled is key to achieving optimum performance characteristics of a UPS. Utilizing a combination of high sampling rates and Direct Digital Control (DDC), the 9900AEGIS is able to provide superior performance under all load conditions.
